Loose bowel is fairly common as a lingering after-effect of gallbladder surgery. Bile is being injected into your intestine with significantly less filtration than when the gallbladder was in place. Constipation, on the other hand, may be unrelated -- especially given that the surgery was over a year ago. Suggest you consult with your family doctor or an internist.
