I am a 43 year old female diagnosed with lupus about 7 years ago. I have organ involvement of the heart and liver. I just underwent a liver biospy and have been told that I have a form of hepitatis either autoimune or drug induced. The docs are trying to determine if it is drug induced by eliminating any drugs that I am currently on. They suspect that it is caused by Dapsone but I have been off of this for 4 weeks and my ALT and AST levels are still going up they are now about 10 times the normal rate when I had the liver biopsy done about 4 weeks ago they were about 6 times the normal rate. Has anyone had this problem and what should my next step be?
