                        I was diagnosed with TOS and had very bad pain in my shoulder and arm, down to my finger tips.  I read in a book by Dr. Andrew Weil about a doctor named Robert Fulford who had his patients do a certain exercise daily, just for general well being.  I decided to attempt this exercise and the pain in my neck, clavicle and shoulder was excrusiating for about 10 minutes, but I decided to ride it through to see what happened.  What it did was give me some relief through the scalene muscle in my neck.  What I discovered was that this muscle was very tight and was affecting the TOS.  Once I held it in a certain postition long enough, it finally released and relieved some of the pain I'd been having.       Here's what I did many times a day after that, in order to stretch the neck, shoulder and back muscles.     I sat in a chair with my feet apart, and bent over with my head between my knees as much as I could possibly stretch.  Put the elbows on the outside of each leg.  This is when the scalene muscle in my neck grabbed and I just stayed with the pain until it released.  While my head was between my knees, I placed the palms of my hands on top of my feet with the thumbs on the outside of my feet....this rotated my shoulders. Then I turned the hands the other way to place the thumbs on the inside of each foot.     Not sure whether this will help you or not, but it gave me a great deal of release, and stretched my back at the same time.  I felt like a new person.  I believe it's a matter of stretching the proper muscles to open that area.
