I had a hysterectomy in June of this year. Had a bladder infection right afterwards. THen started having problems with losing control of bladder, especially at night. Dr said my bladder was irritated and to stop all caffeine, which I did and it helped for awhile. Then it started up again and I still don't have caffeine. Only now, I lose control all the time. Dr put me on Detrol LA and that hasn't helped either. I'm on high blood pressure medicine which has a diuretic in it. Could that cause some of this? I quit taking it for about 5 days this week and it was better but still there's a problem. When I didn't take the blood presure med my feet and legs swell. Going to my FP DR on Tuesday and talk to him about blood pressure med and to a Urologist on Thursday. I just turned 50 and I don't want to live like this, wearing a diaper all the time. It's hard to go out because your afraid of embarrasing myself by wetting my pants. HELP!
