Since infancy, my 1 year old son developed a regular sniffing, eye twitching and stretching of his facial muscles so I took him to an eye and ear specialist. The results were clear, though not a very thorough examination. This continued until he was 7. He replaced these tics with head nodding, shoulder shrugging and vocal tics. He would clear his throat loudly and sometimes high pitched squeals. He is aware that he is doing this, but can't help it. Can anyone help me. I have taken him to the pedicatrician, but in the meantime, can someone offer mey any suggestions? Thank you.
