My 20 year old daughter informed me last night that she has Fibrocystic Breast disease and the lumps have gotten larger. She is going to get a mamogram again and see the doctor and wants to get a double mastectomy. We have a history of cancer in our family, but only one breast cancer. I am upset that she would consider such a drastic move, especially at this young age. Do people with FD really need to do this?
