My son Mahboob 13 years old,is suffering from features of leukodystrophy as per MRI report. We have not done any other test to confirm it. May I know what are the further examinations or test required for confirmed diagnosis and how we know what type of leukodystropy he is suffering from. Is there any treatment available. He was an able boy but walked on toe. For the correction of his walking he had gone two times under surgical treatment - first in 1997 done adductor relase and in 1998 done hamstring release. Since then his condition is deteriorated day by day. He lost his balance and cannot even stand independently. His stomack is squeezing gradually and become weak with very much concern for his life. We have no known specialist for his treatment. Presently, we are living in Riyadh, Saudi ARabia. We seek your valuable advice. Awaiting for your valuable advice. With kind regards,
