I started having severe, dibilatating pain 13 years ago. It was sporadic and I went to all kinds of physcians and have all kinds of neurological testing. The symptoms mimic sciatica. The last doctor I went to said it was bursitis of the hips. I am desperate to find a cure. It is episodic. When it is gone I am 100% fine and active and have walked 2 half marathons. It will hit me out of the blue and last for anywhere from a day to a month. The pain gets so intense I can't move. This doctor wants me to have cortizone shots and I am apprehensive as I had one in the sacarilliac joint and it did no good and was very unpleasant.
