head concussion

America

About a month ago I was visiting a friend, as I bent down I hit by front left forhead very hard on her bathroom cabinet. I remember that my head was jarred quite hard and I stood there and rocked back and forth holding my head from the blow. For some reason I did not remember soon after that about hitting my head but a headache bagan while visiting her and I remembered just trying to sleep it off. She was allergic to medicines so she did not have any pain relievers. During the day I did not have a headache but at night is when the headache returned. I remember now being excessively tired for a number of days. Two weeks ago as I stood up to speak at a meeting, I felt as though my air was leaaving me and then suddenly I expierenced this incredible head throbbing, so bad that I had to be helped to my seat and with people around me my head felt as though it was breaking. It began to subside in about 15-20 minutes. I had a low dull headache before and after this. Yesterday while excercising some this began to happen agaain but not with as much severity. Pain relievers are some help but never totally erase pain. Pain returns in dull throb when pain relievers wear off. Does anyone have any comment about this for me? I have some moments when I fleetingly forget something which may be due to tiredness. It seems also that any thought of increaseing movements seems to kind of imobilze me some. This has been about one month ago. The bruise on my forehead is now almost gone and the small swollen area on top of bruise is no longer there. Thank you for any kind help!
