Oct 24, 2004 I have had ibs for a couple of years now and the pain just never goes away. I have had countless trips to emergency rooms because of excruciating stomach spasms. The first one isn't usually bad but about 15 mins after the first attack it starts again and just gets worse. My family dr has prescribed a 100 different meds but nothing has worked. At emergency they give me shot of morphine in my but and send me home. Nobody treats it or digs any deeper into my problem. Now that I have been looking on this website I have found out about IC and realized that I have all of the same bladder problems and just thought it was ibs. Could I have two different diseases? Is there anyone out there who experiences the same pain and has had success with a dr. My biggest problem is that I don't describe the problem properly to my dr. I cannot put into words the pain it causes me. I would like to find some relief, so I don't have to keep waking my kids up in the middle of the night to rush to emergency. Can anybody help me?
