On Jume 4 I started taking 10 mg's. of prednisone at breakfast at dinner. My Polymyaglia Rheumatica disappeared and I had no pain. Three weeks ago I started getting terrible pain in my left hip, especially when I sit and then go to get up.I have gained twenty three pounds since June. I do not want to increase the Prednisone and was wondering if my hip pain means I need to increase the medication. I am also wondering if there is another medication that will work as fast as the Prednisone that will not cause weight gain. I spent last year working very hard at loosing 41 pounds and find the weight gain very depressing. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Regards from Casey
