Amy
Hi, my name is Amy and my husband was diagnosised with RSD today. He had been at work a few weeks ago using a cordless drill. It slipped, and went almost through his hand. His hand and arm have been very sensitive to temperature change. He has been dealing with numbness, pain, and a constant cold feeling in his hand and arm. He also has a sharp pain than runs up his arm to about his elbow several times a day. It also seems to be worse in the air conditioner for some reason. I was wondering what we can expect to happen regarding treatment, medicines, pain, etc. Also, is this a life long problem? Is it considered a disease? I just can't understand how a minor laceration in the palm of his hand, could do so much damamge. Anyone who can help me understand this condition and what is going on, please email me. Thank you.
