I'm a 3rd year radiography student currently studying in Aberdeen, Scotland.I'm also 20 years old.I was diagnosed with scoliosis when I was 16.It was quite advanced at that stage so surgery was the only option.I had a series of 2 operations. I all happened so quickly that I really didn't stop to think about what I was going through with.I was in a great deal of pain after the operation, and it took me a month or so to fully get over it and get back to school.I was on a morphine drip which helped alot. The operation was a complete success, In the long term it has given me a new lease of life, people are always compementing me on what beautiful posture I have, and what a lovely straight back I have which is quite nice. If you have any questions just e-mail me,I'm only too happy to help.
