Hi - My husband was diagnosed with PSP in March of 1998. He has been through many stages. The worst so far has been his imbalance. He falls from time to time. His speech is slurred. His eyesight is worse off and on with occasional blurring. He drools quite a bit. He is very stiff. I have to help him dry when he showers and can dress himself but it is very hard for him. When he is falling asleep his arms and legs twitch. Sometimes it is very hard for him to say what he means as his thinking process seems to be slow. He is sometimes depressed, but tries to keep a positive attitude. It would help if people with loved ones with this disease would post notes saying when they were diagnosed with PSP and the stages they have gone through since being diagnosed.
