I was told I had a Mitral Valve Prolapse, about 3yrs ago, I get very tight in my chest, sometimes very bad pain down my left arm & breathless. When the tightness is bad I take 2-3 panadol, but it can last for hours. My doctor (heart) said it is normal with what I have got, & I will have to live with it. I was very fit, & played lots of sports, which I can't, do now, as I get very breathless, even to walk up stairs. I never go to the doctors only when I have to, which could be only twice a year, I know I should be going back a lot more, but he has said I just have to live with it, so I don't want to waste his time & my money. Does anyone know of anyone dying with Mitral Valve Prolapse? Thank you Jenny.
