I am a pediatric nurse and have a 3 year old that has febrile seizures. Febrile seizures are fairly common, especially if there is a family history. Most people associate febrile seizures with a high temperature; however, the seizures are from how quick the temperature rises, not necessarily how high the temperature is. The physician is correct in that she will probably grow out of them. My son, unfortunately, has other problems and we had to put him on medication to in the event that he became febrile again. I would be more than happy to try and answer any questions you may have. Email me anytime at S.Vowels@worldnet.att.net. Susan
