I began reading the first posting on this board and have read dozens of comments before seeing anything regarding the toe - about 12 years ago I went to a podiatrist for a 'wort' on the bottom of the joint area of my left great toe. He said it was 'plantar's wort' and there was nothing to be done except wearing comfortable shoes, because surgery would only result in the return of the 'wort'. I have not returned to him or anyone else. My only pain is when I put weight on that 'wort spot'. There is no pain in anyother part of my foot, but I am rolling my foot to the outer edge to 'protect' the toe area from pressing against the ground. Is this condition really PF or was he wrong? Anyone with similar condition or information, I would appreciate reply here or in email.
