My father has had systemic lupus for 19 years. This is the first time I have heard of the hep b vac being a possible cause. We were always told my father developed it because of sun exposure, and that is one of the main reasons it is primarily a female disease. He had been a farmer his whole life. At the same time he was diagnosed, we were told of another man, who also was a farmer, suing a fertilizer company because he had developed the disease 6-8 months after he had chemicals he had been working with spill, covering 95% of his body. I have heard of so many different stories and read so much literature, to tell you the truth, I don't think anyone knows the exact cause. I work in a hospital and have heard alot about the hep b, but never that it could cause the development of the disease. If you find anything more I would love to hear from you.
