Jessie's mom
I wrote you another message but for some reason my computer shut down on me so I don't know if you got it. Please let me know if you did. Jessie is 4 1/2 years old now and we've known of his dyspraxia for a year and a half. I have yet to find any books on the subject except for books that address several speech disorders. My best resource has been the Apraxia Kids web site and Jessie's speech therapist. Everytime she finds something on apraxia(dyspraxia) she makes me a copy. I believe the best thing for Jessie has been having those who are close to him educated about apraxia and PDD-NOS( which Jessie was diagnosed with in January). He doesn't get any special treatment because of his disability but he does receive the patience, support, and sometimes the push he needs from those who love him the most.
