im using a cream called differin and benzamycin, it has helped me big time, i suffered for for yrs now and when it flares up i take a cold wash cloth to relieve the hot feeling on my cheeks. pills has major side affects especially that we would have to be on it for awhile or so. metro gel did not work for me, ask your dr. if he can prescribe you what im using, it made alot of differance on my face
