I had an AAA repaired almost 4 months ago. I also had some kidney repair work done at the same time. My incision runs from my back (by the shoulder blade on my left side) downward, comes around my side and then goes all the way down my front (staying to the left of center.) I too am still swollen - my surgeon's answer to that is that I may want to wear a girdle the rest of my life! The right side of my abdomen is getting very flacid. Neither my surgeon nor my cardiologist has been encouraging about getting this area back in shape. I'm still hoping - & looking for good girdles! Never thought I'd say that!
