My mother-in-law has PSP. Hers also started with falling, problems with speech. The Dr. diagnosed her originally with MS. After her symptoms became so severe, she went to a neurologist and it took him about 10 minutes to tell us she has PSP. It has been very difficult to watch her decline. Keep your wife moving and don't let her give up. We still have good days. Your right, the Doctors don't know much at all and can't help much regarding PSP.
