ever been part of what they call the "herd innoculation" programs? Remember as a kid being lined up and given small pox vacinations? They never changed the needles nor does the alcohol they cleaned them with kill HCV. Just because you were diagnosed recently doesn't mean you haven't had it for decades. Count yourself lucky that you made it this far with no problems. Some doctor in the past may have known you had what they used to call "non-A, non-B hepatitis" but they all used to think if you weren't yellow it was no big deal. Welcome to my world.
