Dear Sick and Tired; You're singing my song. You didn't mention your age, and it's really a very long shot, but I'd get check for Hemochromatosis (Iron Overload Disease). Recent research has revealed that 1 in 200 Americans have primary hemochromatosis, and 1 in 8 are carriers. Recent research has also revealed that chronic fatigue is one of the first symptoms reported, usually a male in his mid to late 20s, or early 30s. The tests you need are a Hematocrit, Serum Transferring level, and a Ferriten level. You may have to be insistent because many doctors are unaware of this, if not treated, potentially fatal condition. I say it's a long shot because it's a hereditary condition, and you would have had to inherited a recessive gene from each of them. There are however, other suspected causes for iron overload that aren't associated with hereidtary hemochromatosis. Good luck. J.Paige
