I read with great interest your message, Mary. Good work. I, too, like all other FM sufferers, have been researching the different treatments. In my part of the US, West Virginia, we have no great choice of physicians to consult. My family MD referred me to a rheumatologist...her suggestion was to take Flexeril to sleep. That's ok if I'm having great muscle cramps, but generally doesn't work. I tried to get into the pain treatment center where this rheumatologist practices, and have gotten the "run around". Seems like some insurance companies require the referring physician to do a pre-cert with the ins. co. and many don't want the hassle and paperwork! I still am trying to work full-time, but have taken more sick days this year than in my l4 yrs. of employment with this particluar agency. I appreciate your input. Maybe we can share notes in the future....right now, I'm still in pain, have tried exercise (walking mostly), different techniques of sitting, etc. at work, but still get up in the a.m. feeling as bad as when I went to bed. Hope your pain is somewhat under control. Will let you know when I find a physician to "listen" and not consider me a pyscho! Linda
