                        At night sometimes I am abruptly awakened by a feeling of warm liquid coming up into my espohagus.  Other times, I only wake with a burny throat or tongue.  I also can have the burny tongue and throat happen during the day. This is not all the time but frequently.  I am looking for a natural way to help this as I hate to start on drugs.  I have already elevated the head of my bed.  I don't smoke, drink, no caffeine, soft drinks, eat a low fat diet, etc.  But I do have a lot of stress in my life due to family illness.  I am presently working with meditation and stress relief tapes through a counselor.  What can I do naturally to reduce the acid while I am working on improving my handling of the stress?
