I have been using prevacid for three years now and it is under control. I also take acidophilos (sp?),which has helped even more. The worst side affect from taking prilosec, propulcid, or tagamet, is severe short term memory loss. Prevacid (lansoprazole) has the least side effects. But it is also the most expensive. If you are having memory problems this might be the cause. Good Luck Thomas:-)
