I've had Fibromyalgia for at least the last 6 years. I think I actually had a lot longer than that. The Dr.'s cannot exactly pin point what causes this DD. It is usually from some sort of trauma. It could be child abuse, car accident, etc. Medications are usually perscribed by trial and error, before the Dr.'s and the patient come up w/ the right combination. I worked up till late last summer w/ it. It got to the point that I could know longer deal w/ the headaches, lightheadedness, other pains, and the rest of the symptoms on a daily basis. I have not become totally sedetary, but I rest a lot. I got into an exercise rountine that involves very light aqua areobics, very light weight and balance training. The combination of the 2, mediactions, proper diet and lots of rest has helped me deal w/ this a bit more. There are many sites on the net that covers this topic. Hope I have been of some help. Good luck to you and your daughter.
