Hi, My daughter, 17, has all of the symptoms of hypothyroidism. But her TSH is normal. She has low free T4, normal free T3. Fatigue is terrible. Dr. started her on 50 mcg of levothroid. How long does it take for drug to kick in? Does it really cause bone loss? Has anyone else had these test results? Since T4 is converted to T3, it doesn't make sense that her T3 is normal if she doesn't have enough T4 to convert. She also had very high antibodies against her thyroid for a period of time. Now those levels are normal. Any ideas? Also, does anyone know of a good endocrinologist in Indiannapolis, Peoria or Chicago, St. Louis? Thanks.
