Peggy, I know you feel your world has fallen apart. HOW ARE YOU BEING TREATED? About 5 years ago my disease appeared; I was treated with prednisone for 2 1/2 years before I was completely free of pain. Also was given CALCIUM W/D hopefully to prevent bone loss which is one damage prednisone can do to your body over a long range period. Be sure your doctor does a bone density test. The disease is incurable but treatable. Mine returned about 6 weeks ago; again on prednisone treatment, against my better judgment. I am searching for a drug, non-steriod, which can give relief when the inflamation is not so severe. DO HOPE YOU GET SOME RELIEF.
