I can certainly sympathize. I injured my neck in a car accident in 7-97. It finally blew out in 7-00. I never knew chornic pain till I experienced this. I ended up under the care of a surgeon in 7-00. I was told I am not surgical due to multiple levels being involved. I have one herniated and 2 buldging discs, and severe facet joint disease plus myofascial pain. I am now under the care of a pain management doctor who has done more for me in 6 months then my surgeon did for me in 2 years. I am very pleased with all he has done for me. If you're not surgical find a great pain management doctor which is an option that shold be explored by all before any surgical intervention takes place. Finally after 2 years my pain is 100% controlled. It wasn't easy to get there and it took a lot of persistance on my part and putting up with alot of needles. Now I am on my way to getting off medication after I recover from my last procedure. With proper pain management it is possible to lead a near normal life. I will never be the same but I am very active.
