for my cronick hives,my doctor put me on ranitidine tablets 150mg,1 in the morning and 1 in the evening. i also use sarna anti itch lotion. both are over the counter products.they really helped me ,i only get hives once in awhile now,but i also take zyrtec every day. hope this helps! good luck
