Years ago my doctor removed my fibroids during an office visit. He cut them out and cauterized at the same time so the bleeding was not bad. However, I cramped each time he touched the uterus. It felt like birth pains. After my fifth child was born I had the uterus removed and I was really glad to get rid of it. My health improved 200% when it was gone! No monthly problems, no anemia, no lack of energy from loss of blood, etc. Wonderful. If I were doing it over I would ask about newer procedures, scar tissue residue, etc. And ask if all are being removed or just large ones. I have heard that some people think fibroids are a precussor to uterine cancer. I would ask about it.
