Hello Joanna! Sorry about your problem. I had it and I also had a bone spur in my heel. It is extremly painful. I found the cortisone shots did not work for me. The only thing that helped me was surgery. It wasn't too painful, in and out the same day, in a cast for 6 weeks and back on your feet and pain free for the rest of your life. I know that might be too drastic for you and you might want to consider all other options before. And you definatrely should. There is always risk with surgery. But that is the only thing that helped me. Good shoes are a must. I think also losing weight helped me, but I didn't lose it till many years after the surgery and I still wasn't in pain.
