                        Hi Phyllis,  My first massage was a disaster!  I was in extreme pain I would say for two weeks.  I switched therapists.  I now go to the Wellness Center at the Y.  This massage therapist is also a physicial therapist.  This last week I had two massages.  I feel this therapist is better for me.  I really did not have the pain, maybe just a little, like I experienced with the first therapist.  I will continue as long as my insurance covers it.  I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield.  My doc prescribed only 8 massages for me.  I feel I do not have as much general, over all pain since the massages.  However, I did start on elevil, (amytriptyline) the same day I began these massages.  So maybe I feel better some because of the combination of massage and eleval.   Eleval is an antidepressant but helps with pain as well.  I have been told this by my doc by I read it on the Net.  Thanks and good luck.  J.W.
