Fibro is such a misunderstood problem. Misunderstood by most health professionals who order test after test, and seem unable to reach a diagnosis. Then, when they do, they begin to throw prescription darts at ou dartboard bodies to see if anything strikes the bullseye. I have been on over a dozen prescriptions and not one has made a significant difference for me. Misunderstood by our friends and family members. They understand that something is wrong with us, but cannot understand the disability that constant pain brings into our lives, and the disinterest in doing active things, when you know that the rebound pain will be substantial and you don't want to look forward to that. And finally, misunderstood by those of us "FORTUNATE" enough to have fibro. We attempt to live a "normal" life, all the while bringing our "friends" with us; Pain, tingling, fogginess, imbalance, sleeplessness, and on and on. Our lives have been reversed so that a day with these symptoms becomes our norm, and, if they happen at all, a few moments without symptoms is not enjoyed, because we know that our "normal" life (with fibro) will be back momentarily. And to top it off, we are constantly being "promised" cures, by those with a vested (financial) interest in us trusting our health to them, only to be let down again. WE WANT OUR LIVES BACK THE WAY THEY WERE BEFORE FIBRO! I read in the Bible that "Faith is the assurance of things hoped for...", and Fibro tends to remove not just our faith, but also digs deep to take our hope as well. We must strive together to at least keep the hope alive that an answer will come. I am wishing such for you. ebber
