I really do not know if you were tested for something else because usually doctors test you for many diseases perhaps in my thinking the reason is get money in my own experience I TOOK the test for syphilis ,HIV, leprosy and thyroid test and after many times were repeated after all were negative I was send for psichiatric counseling I never think that only because you loose your hair is has to be psichiatrist matter anyway I did a research and found about the condition you know already alopecia aerata and for sure I know in some cases take over all body it happens with me but before I recover without any help only putting away stress but after started working with chemicals my condition when worst untill I loss all hair but you probably have the chance to recover all depend in your condition but I sugest you not to worry because it is hard to accept the condition specially when people around are cruel but for us we do ot have control of the condition unless you look for support in a group with the same condition that is all I can advice
