I was 19 when all of my hair fell out, along with my eyebrows, hair on my arms, legs and basically everywhere. I had also never cried, I held everything in until that time. I've done some research on alopecia but I have found everything to be experimental and no guarantees. There doesn't seem to be a specific cause for it either. Whether mine was from emotional stress or not I'm not sure but I do know that it grew back some and then it fell out again. I came to the Lord 3 years later and wept before Him and gave Him my hair as it talks about in I Cor. 11:3-10. He restored my and it has grown long in a short time. There have times when spots come out and they seem to be at times of changes in my life. I have not had to wear a wig in 9 years. I'm not sure where you're at and I may not be much consolation but I know I had sought out people who had gone through what I was going through and it helped talking to them about it. It is a difficult thing when no one knows how to treat it. I didn't want to go through weird experiments to find out if it would grow. I did try Rograin for a short time but it really was hard for me to remember to use it regularly.--- I will pray for you to find the solution you need.
