Steve
Sorry to hear about Your Mom. I do not have the same condition (I have a similiar condition called membraneous nephropathy) but I have spent a lot of time researching kidneys and I might be of some help. First, you should realize that your Mom will live..worst case scenario is dialysis and possible kidney replacement. There are far worse things a person can have. As far as fibrillary glomerulonephritis itself goes you should find out if the condition is ideopathic (meaning no known cause).. This condition can be caused by things such as lupus etc. You should be going to the best possible nephrologist available and you might have to go out of state. Email me back if you think I can be of some help. I live in New York and fortunately I have a lot of specialists to chose from..I have also tried some alternative therapies that might be available where you are and could help.
