I read your e-mail with much interest as my father has a big problem with bloating. He also had a barium test with xrays which was negative. He had an endoscopy which showed old scarring but according to the GI dr nothing to explain his problem. He does have a diverticulitis area too. The dr wants him to go for a CAT scan but now he is hesitating as he is sick of drs. He does have trouble breathing and has recently been given oxygen tank for home use. I wish I could recommend something to you. I wonder with my dad if he is having some kind of allergic reaction but we haven't been able to figure out what it could be too. I tried to convince him to try a wheat free/maybe even gluten free diet but he isn't good with following that type of diet. I hope you get some answers--please keep in touch if you do.
