Dear Jeanne I have in the past had Amitriptiline 50mg this elped enormously with my pain and also helped me get a more normal sleep. but I had to stop taking the due to taking other mediaction which was called cisapride there was contra-indication and I havent had it scince but I am hoping to resume it again soon because i have now stopped taking the tablet cisapride. I have recently been diagnosed with SLE and Sjogrens syndrome so I am sure this medication would help enormously especially with joint pain. I hope this has been of some help to you Take Care Sandra
