I had microdiscectomy for herniated disc (l5s1) in June 1999. Immediately after surgery I had no pain in my left leg. Now 15 months later I have herniated disc again (same one) and am going to physical therapy. Been going for one week - no change yet - pain is not as bad as last year prior to surgery, but have some pain and numbing/tingling down left leg...am hoping PT works so I don't need 2nd surgery but neurosurgeon only gives it a 50/50 chance of helping.
