I avoided menopause therapy for years and finally decided I needed to do it, but I first talked to my regular doctor (male) but wanted a woman's opinion so I went to see a woman practitioner. She sat with me for two hours discussing pros and cons but the final decision was up to me. I wanted to talk further with someone who was into herbal remedies, but didn't have anyone in my area in that field. Also, I still want to see a nutritionist because what you put into your body is very important. Some of us feel like we are falling apart when we reach a certain age and I guess we are. Unfortunately, I have so many health problems that I ended up on prozac to help me through. I was feeling very negative about a lot of things including pain. I am on vioxx also which is for the osteoarthritis. I have a much more positive attitude about my life now and you can work it out. It isn't always easy, but nothing I have ever done is easy, but the outcome is very rewarding as I have a husband and three married girls and two grandchildren, plus a job and house to run that gives me great joy. If we are beautiful on the inside it will show on the outside. Good luck.
