My mom had a morphine pump impanted into her body about 12 years ago. She has had to have it replaced 3 times. When she loses weight ti sticks out from her abdominal area and is very uncomfortable. I do not have RSD but I do have porphyria so I do understand what you are going through as far as pain. Anyway, I can tell you what my momsays about the implant and that is if she could do it over again she would NEVER have had the pump implanted. There are other ways to recieve morphine that were not available when the pump was implanted. There is liquid morphine and Duralgesic patches (fentanyl). Think of the patched before trying the implant.
