My wife has undergone epidiurals also (26), with relief once, and that was temporary. We have been blessed to find a Dr. that does Rhizotomy, which is the burning of the troubling nerves using a Radio Frequency probe that is on the end of a needle. She has had very good success, but the nerves grow back in around 6 months. The good thing is, it can be redone over and over, with much less complicaton than the epidiurals.
