Pat, I would love to chat with you about your doctor and what you are treated with etc. I am being treated by a physical rehabilitation specialist and she is prescribing pain medication however this brand (vicodin) is the highest strength she will provide). I wanted to try the time release formula of Oxycontin and she wouldn't go for it. I am having problems with my liver enzymes now and will be going for my third test to see if still elevated. I was also on Lipitor so they took me off of that to see if it was causing it. I know vicodin can cause this also and I have been taking the maximum acetimeniphen daily allowance but would gladly try something else that would work. I have tried 3 or 4 different others but to no avail. Vicodin is the only med that has allowed me to deal somewhat with the pain--it certainly doesn't allow me to be pain free but pain is somewhat controlled on vicodin--anyway it allows me to work part time thank god.
