Barb I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia last july. It took a year of countless tests and doctor visits to find the cause of my strange pains. I had to drop two of my college classes because I had such terrible leg pain. I have now been taking amitriptyline for 9 months. This medication has helped me so much! At times I feel as though nothing is wrong with me. I rarely have pains any more and have had no side effects to this medication.
