I have the same condition. Stay active! Take a walk everyday with a friend or the family dog. Swim, ride a bike or do light aerobics. Even learning a new hobby is helpful. The busier you are the less it bothers you. Talk to your doctor about sleep therapy and sleep disorders. A light dose of Benadryl helps me to fall asleep faster.
