Hi Ida, It's good to hear from you! Staying on 10mg of Prednisone for a few more months sounds like a good plan, Ida. You asked about my sed rate being tested before each visit, and yes, it has been. What surprises me is that it has remained in the normal range, even though I've had numerous flares. I suppose it means that the Prednisone is doing it's job, but then has it been necessary to add Methotrexate in order to keep the symptoms from getting out of control? I'm on 10 mg of Prednisone, and I have been on this dose 7 months without having any success in tapering it. Also, my doctor put me on Methotrexate in order to help me taper the Prednisone. I've been having some side effects from the Methotrexate, with increased fatigue and some headaches. My doctor had me lower the dose, so I'll see how that works this week. I have an appointment with him on November 12, so it will be interesting. I wonder if this is how PMR behaves, or if there is something else going on now. I guess it will take some time to find out. I'm certainly happy to hear that 10 mg of Prednisone is helping you with your fatigue and pain. Will you be talking with your doctor before February, or does he plan on having to remain on the current dose of Prednisone until then? Take good care of yourself, Ida! Thank you for sharing your PMR experience with me. I hope you keep feeling better! Shar
