Polymyalgia and Prednisone

Hi Shar- It's great to hear from you. Hope you are feeling better. I think a slow Prednisone taper is best, even though some doctors want to rush it. Are you still on 14 mg of Prednisone? I'm still on 9/8 mg., alternate days. Both my doctors have finally realized they can't rush the Prednisone taper, so I will be on 9/8 mg for at least eight weeks or so. Don't be discouraged. This thing takes time; hopefully you will begin to have some good days mixed in with the bad. Also, I agree, fatigue is sometimes worse than the pain. However, for some reason, the massive doses of antibiotics I have been taking seems to have had some effect on the fatigue. I am able to do a little more in a day than before. Also, I forgot. I also take Actenol once a week for the bones, along with the other medications. Hope you feel better real soon. Have a great Fourth. Be well, Ida
